Homelessness 101: Breaking Stereotypes

  • 40 Carl Street San Francisco, CA, 94117 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

In this workshop, we will focus on common myths about homelessness and go over some basic knowledge about SF homelessness. Who is homeless? What are the causes of homelessness? Should I give panhandlers money? We will have an informal Q and A afterward and discuss how you can get involved.

Beer, wine, and appetizers will be served. Come and meet great people in the city and explore how we can make this community better together.

About the Organization
The Coalition on Homelessness (cohsf.org) brings together homeless folks, front-line service providers, and their allies to build a San Francisco that everyone can call home through grassroots policy and advocacy. We are working every day to expand access to housing in one of the richest cities in the country, protect the rights of the poorest people on our streets, and to address the root causes of homelessness and poverty.
